Airbnb World Cup Community Event
Join us, alongside FIFA Legend DaMarcus Beasley, in celebrating Houston’s communities and soccer through an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ attempt on Saturday, April 11.
Guest check-in opens at 9:00 AM, with activities and snacks available starting at 9:30 AM. Event programming will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.
Airbnb, in partnership with the FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston™ Host Committee, is proud to celebrate a $1M+ investment in Houston to expand green infrastructure, increase youth access to soccer, and help ensure the benefits of hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026™ extend far beyond the tournament.
To mark this milestone, local youth players, families, community leaders, and partners are invited to join us at Hermann Park to place soccer balls for an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ attempt. Joining the record attempt will be FIFA Legend and former USMNT and Houston Dynamo player DaMarcus Beasley.
Guests will also enjoy a community celebration throughout the morning featuring food, music, and family-friendly activities.
Event Schedule
– Check-in: 9:00 – 10:00 AM
– Program: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Parking & Transportation
Limited parking is available within Hermann Park and surrounding Museum District lots. Parking can fill quickly during events, so guests are encouraged to carpool, use rideshare, or take public transit when possible.
METRORail access:
The METRORail Red Line stops at Hermann Park/Rice University and Memorial Hermann Hospital/Houston Zoo, both within a short walk of the park.
